The Digital Accessibility Consortium is a community of leading international experts who seek to ensure that digital experiences are accessible to every user, regardless of their abilities. While many steps have been taken to make the internet more accessible, a growing number of ADA lawsuits against organizations for non-compliant websites is evidence that progress in the field of digital accessibility is still lacking urgency. That’s why the DAC seeks to amplify the voices of those with physical or mental impairments and empower all innovators with knowledge and guidance that helps them design and develop more accessible technology moving forward.

While the World Wide Web Consortium (or “W3C” as it is commonly known) develops useful open standards like the WCAG to ensure the long-term growth of the web, the Digital Accessibility Consortium is dedicated to making all digital experiences accessible. This mission includes websites, but goes further to encompass all devices, tools, and services that are connected to digital platforms. As we all know, the number of digitally connected devices, tools, and services grows larger every day, making DAC’s specified mission more critical than ever.
